PROCESSING OF GENERAL DATA WHEN USING OUR WEBSITE.
Generally, you can use our website without providing any personal data. Each time you use the website, certain information is automatically transmitted by your internet browser. We, or rather our hosting provider Domainfactory, collect meta data when our website is accessed or when Domainfactory’s server is accessed. This includes data about the website accessed, files, date, time, browser used, user’s operating system, referring URL, and IP address.
They are processed for the following purposes:
Establishing a connection to our website
Use of our website
System security and optimization of the website
We do not use this data to draw conclusions about your person.
This is done on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the secure operation of the online service.
We use a hosting service provider that provides the infrastructure for us to offer our online service. This includes storage space, database, email dispatch, maintenance, computing capacity and other services that are technically necessary for the operation of the offer. The information required for operation is processed by the hosting service provider.
The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose of collection. Since the meta data is necessary for the operation of the online offer, objection is excluded.
Cookies
Cookies are files that are stored on your terminal device. We deliberately do not use cookies to track you personally; we use them exclusively to make our website user-friendly. Specifically, a cookie is used to store the user’s language preference.
This is done on the basis of our legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) in the user-friendly operation of our website.
You can delete cookies using the corresponding function of your browser.
Contact
If you contact us (via contact form, email, or via the telephone or fax number provided), your details will be stored for the purpose of processing the contact request. This serves in particular to respond to the contact request, and to maintain contractual or pre-contractual relations. These requests may be stored in our CRM system. In addition, we store feedback on our products to ensure their maintenance and improvement; especially in the area of product safety. Storage takes place according to necessity (through product development and product maintenance requirements) as well as legal retention periods.
In particular, it is necessary to provide a valid email address (when contacting us via email or the contact form) so that we can respond to your request. Further information regarding your request is also necessary.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is based on the legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to communicate with you.
If you contact us to request a quote, the processing of the data entered in the contact form is carried out for the implementation of pre-contractual measures, pursuant to Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
The provision of your data is voluntary.
We delete your data as soon as the storage no longer serves any legitimate purpose. In relation to product development and product safety, we may be obliged to store the contents of support requests and complaints for a period beyond the product lifetime. If a contractual relationship arises, we are subject to the statutory retention periods under the German Commercial Code (HGB) and delete your data after these periods have expired.
Reach measurement and operation of the website
We store anonymized user data (website accesses, geolocation based on IP addresses, date, and time of access, browser type, version, and operating system) for the purpose of measuring reach and improving our website. The full IP address is not stored, so that a personal assignment is not possible.
The processing of the data is based on the legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR) to improve our website and to determine our reach.
Technical and organizational measures for data security
For data security during transmission, we use a state-of-the-art encryption procedure: SSL via HTTPS.
Change of our privacy policy
We regularly amend this privacy policy, for example to adapt it to a change in the online offer. The current version of our privacy policy is the one that applies to your visit.
